Legal Basis for Processing

Under PIPL Article 13, we process personal information of individuals in China based on one or more of the following legal bases:

Consent (Article 13.1)

We obtain your informed consent before processing your personal information. You may withdraw consent at any time, and we make the withdrawal process as convenient as giving consent.

Contract Performance (Article 13.2)

Processing necessary to conclude or perform a contract to which you are a party, such as providing our SEO automation services.

Legal Obligations (Article 13.3)

Processing necessary to fulfill statutory duties or obligations under Chinese law.

Public Interest (Article 13.4 & 13.5)

Processing for public health emergencies or other situations in the public interest as permitted by law.

Sensitive Personal Information

PIPL provides enhanced protection for sensitive personal information, which includes:

  • Biometric data
  • Religious beliefs
  • Specific identity information
  • Medical and health information
  • Financial account information
  • Location tracking data
  • Personal information of minors under 14

We only process sensitive personal information when strictly necessary and with your separate, explicit consent. We implement enhanced security measures for such data.

Cross-Border Data Transfers

When transferring personal information outside of China, we comply with PIPL requirements including:

  • Security Assessment: Passing security assessment organized by the Cyberspace Administration of China when required.
  • Certification: Obtaining personal information protection certification from professional institutions.
  • Standard Contracts: Entering into contracts with overseas recipients using standard terms published by CAC.
  • Separate Consent: Obtaining your separate consent for cross-border transfers.

We inform you of the overseas recipient's name, contact information, purpose of processing, methods of processing, types of personal information, and how you can exercise your rights.

Personal Information Protection Impact Assessment

In accordance with PIPL Article 55, we conduct Personal Information Protection Impact Assessments (PIPIA) before undertaking high-risk processing activities, including:

  • Processing sensitive personal information
  • Automated decision-making using personal information
  • Entrusting processing to third parties
  • Providing personal information to third parties
  • Cross-border transfers of personal information
  • Other activities that may significantly impact individuals

Data Localization

For critical information infrastructure operators or processors handling personal information reaching thresholds set by the CAC, we store personal information collected and generated within China domestically in compliance with PIPL Article 40.

Security Measures

We implement comprehensive security measures as required by PIPL Article 51:

  • Formulating internal management systems and operating procedures
  • Implementing classified management of personal information
  • Adopting encryption, de-identification, and other security technical measures
  • Determining operational authority and conducting security education
  • Formulating emergency response plans for security incidents
